SEO and Digital Growth Case Studies
Twelve projects across ecommerce, local services, health, finance, real estate, education and publishing, with the search data behind every result.
- Search Console, Bing and GA4 data
- 12 projects, 12 different challenges
- Results from 2025 campaigns
What These Case Studies Cover
Search growth rarely comes from one tactic. Some of these projects were won by fixing how Google crawled a site; others by rewriting pages in the language customers actually use, building local visibility across several locations, or opening a second search channel through Bing. Each case study explains the starting point, the strategy chosen for that situation, the work completed and what the data shows afterwards.
Every project here was delivered through our SEO and search marketing service, with work spanning technical SEO, local search, ecommerce search optimisation and SEO-safe website rebuilds. Estimate your own opportunity with the traffic value calculator or start at ZTechzSolutions home.
The results come from Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics 4 reports for the periods stated. Use the cards below to compare projects, and open any card to read the full case study. If a challenge sounds familiar, our SEO and search marketing services page explains how we approach each type of work, and our How We Work page shows how projects run from start to finish.

Ecommerce Store: From Under 100 to Nearly 5,000 Daily Clicks in a Week
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
The store had a large catalogue, but most of its product and category pages were barely appearing in Google. Search Console showed a site with real demand behind it and very little of that demand reaching the store, a pattern that usually points to crawling and indexing problems rather than weak products.
Strategy
Instead of producing new content first, we focused on removing the technical barriers that stopped existing pages from being discovered and indexed. The priority was the category and product templates, because fixing a template improves hundreds of pages at once.
Work completed
- Audited crawl paths and removed duplicate, parameter-based URLs competing with key pages
- Corrected canonical tags so each product and category had one clear, indexable version
- Cleaned the XML sitemap to list only pages worth indexing
- Strengthened internal links from categories to priority products
- Requested indexing for the most commercially important pages in Search Console
Key results
Google Search Console, 7 days, 12–18 October 2025.
What the results mean
Once Google could crawl and trust the catalogue, visibility arrived quickly. An average position of 3.6 across 196K impressions means many pages weren’t just indexed but ranking near the top of page one, where clicks happen.
Key takeaway: For large catalogues, technical fixes at template level can unlock visibility faster than any amount of new content.
Multi-Location Service Business: 42.7K Clicks and Top-Six Average Rankings
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
The business operated across several locations, and its location pages looked almost identical apart from the suburb name. Google had little reason to rank one over another, so visibility was spread thinly and rankings for core services sat lower than the business’s reputation deserved.
Strategy
We treated each location as its own local search opportunity. Rather than adding more pages, we made the existing ones genuinely distinct and connected them clearly to the services people searched for.
Work completed
- Rewrote location pages with local detail, service areas and location-specific FAQs
- Optimised titles and headings around service-plus-location search intent
- Aligned Google Business Profiles with the website for each location
- Built internal links between each service page and its matching locations
- Added LocalBusiness and FAQ structured data reflecting visible content
Key results
Google Search Console, 3 months to October 2025. Latest 28 days: 19.4K clicks, 257K impressions, 7.5% CTR, position 5.2.
What the results mean
Average position improved as the campaign matured, reaching 5.2 over the latest 28 days, with 19.4K clicks in that period alone. Rankings in that range keep the business consistently on page one for its core searches.
Key takeaway: Location pages rank when they say something unique about each place, not when they repeat the same text with a new suburb name.
Professional Services Firm: 39.1K Clicks at an 11.9% Click-Through Rate
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
The firm had years of articles, but they rarely led anywhere. Readers arrived, read one post and left, and the service pages that generated enquiries received little authority from all that content. Daily clicks sat around 250 at the start of the period.
Strategy
We connected the firm’s existing knowledge to its commercial pages. The aim was to turn a scattered blog into topic clusters that answered real client questions and guided readers towards the right service.
Work completed
- Grouped existing articles into topic clusters around each core service
- Refreshed outdated articles with current information and clearer answers
- Added descriptive internal links from articles to relevant service pages
- Rewrote titles and meta descriptions to better match search intent
- Merged overlapping posts that competed for the same searches
Key results
Google Search Console, 3 months, July–October 2025.
What the results mean
An 11.9% click-through rate is high for a broad content site, which shows the titles and snippets matched what searchers wanted. Daily clicks rose from around 250 to peaks above 700 during the period.
Key takeaway: Content becomes a growth asset when every article has a clear job and a clear path to a service.
Australian Real Estate Business: Average Position Lifted to 4.6
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
Before late August, the site’s pages were barely visible, with impressions and clicks close to zero and an average position that fluctuated widely. Slow pages and a confusing structure made it hard for Google to understand which listings and area pages mattered.
Strategy
We stabilised the technical foundation first, then clarified the site structure so suburb and property pages had a clear hierarchy. Stability was the goal before growth.
Work completed
- Improved page speed and Core Web Vitals on listing and suburb templates
- Simplified site architecture and breadcrumbs for area pages
- Fixed indexing issues and removed thin, duplicate listing URLs
- Added structured data for the business and key pages
- Monitored Search Console daily to catch new issues early
Key results
Google Search Console, 3 months, July–October 2025.
What the results mean
The step change in late August shows Google re-evaluating the site after the fixes. Average position then held steady at around 4.6 while impressions grew to 456K. The low 0.7% CTR highlights the next opportunity: better titles and snippets to convert that visibility into clicks.
Key takeaway: Visibility comes first; the next phase is turning strong rankings into more clicks through better search snippets.
Home Services Business: Impressions Grew From Almost Zero to 516K
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
The business was starting almost from scratch in search. In late June, daily impressions and clicks were close to zero, and the site covered only a handful of its services with very little supporting content.
Strategy
We built visibility in phases: get the foundations indexed, publish service content customers actually searched for, then expand coverage once early pages proved what worked.
Work completed
- Fixed indexing so every service page could appear in search
- Created dedicated pages for each core service and common problem
- Answered seasonal and urgent-job questions in focused content
- Linked new content into the main service pages
- Reviewed Search Console data monthly to expand winning topics
Key results
Google Search Console, 6 months, June–October 2025. Latest 28 days: 4.94K clicks, 234K impressions, position 8. Latest 7 days: 2.89K clicks, 103K impressions, position 7.7.
What the results mean
More than half of the six-month total arrived in the last 28 days, with 234K impressions and 4.94K clicks, and average position improved to 7.7 in the latest week. That pattern shows compounding growth rather than a one-off spike.
Key takeaway: Starting from zero, consistent service-focused content builds momentum that accelerates over time.
Local Service Business: 32.7% Click-Through Rate From Search
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
This business didn’t have huge search volume, so every impression counted. Its listings in Google looked generic, and searchers had little reason to choose it over nearby competitors.
Strategy
We focused on what searchers see before they click: titles, descriptions and the answers shown in results. The aim was to make each listing the most relevant and useful option on the page.
Work completed
- Rewrote page titles to lead with the service and location people searched for
- Wrote meta descriptions that answered the main question and gave a reason to click
- Added FAQ content and structured data to support richer results
- Matched page headings to the wording of top search queries
- Tested and refined snippets using Search Console query data
Key results
Google Search Console, 28 days, September–October 2025. Latest 7 days: 1.1K clicks, 3.37K impressions, 32.7% CTR, position 20.1.
What the results mean
A 29.7% CTR means almost three in ten people who saw the business in search clicked through, and the latest week reached 32.7%. Average position also improved from 30.3 over 28 days to 20.1 in the latest 7 days, so visibility and clicks grew together.
Key takeaway: When search volume is limited, a compelling search listing can matter as much as ranking higher.
Mortgage and Finance Business: 26.7K Clicks at a 12.7% CTR
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
Finance is a high-trust, highly regulated search category. The site had useful calculators and guides, but they were thinly linked and often outranked by aggregators and comparison sites, so most of its pages sat beyond the first results page.
Strategy
We made the site’s expertise easier for Google to recognise: stronger topical structure around loan types, clearer author and review signals, and technical clean-up so authority flowed to the most commercial pages.
Work completed
- Restructured guides into hubs for each loan and refinance topic
- Added reviewer details and clear sourcing to financial content
- Fixed slow templates and crawl issues on calculator pages
- Built internal links from guides to enquiry-focused pages
- Rewrote titles to match comparison and “how much” searches
Key results
Google Search Console, 3 months, July–October 2025.
What the results mean
Clicks and impressions rose sharply from late July and stayed well above the starting level. A 12.7% CTR is strong for finance, where searchers compare carefully, although the 15.3 average position shows there is still room to push more pages onto page one.
Key takeaway: In trust-sensitive industries, visible expertise and clear structure do as much for rankings as keywords.
Allied Health Practice: 10.2K Clicks and 514K Impressions in Three Months
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
Patients searched for specific treatments and conditions, but the practice’s pages were written around clinic jargon. Visibility existed, yet clicks were modest because listings didn’t clearly match what patients typed.
Strategy
We rewrote the site around patient language and local intent, making each treatment page answer the question a patient actually has, while respecting health advertising guidelines.
Work completed
- Mapped treatment pages to condition-based patient searches
- Rewrote headings and intros in plain, patient-friendly language
- Strengthened Google Business Profile categories and services
- Added FAQ sections answering common pre-booking questions
- Linked condition pages to booking pathways
Key results
Google Search Console, 3 months to October 2025. Latest 28 days: 3.85K clicks, 152K impressions, 2.5% CTR, position 6.5.
What the results mean
Daily clicks rose from around 40 in late July to around 150 by the end of the period, and average position improved to 6.5 over the latest 28 days. That points to more pages reaching page one for treatment searches.
Key takeaway: Writing in the patient’s words, not the practitioner’s, is often the fastest way to grow health-related search traffic.
B2B Technology Company: Building Search Visibility From a New Domain
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
A new domain starts with no history, no links and no trust. In late July, the site recorded almost no clicks or impressions, and it was competing against established vendors with years of authority.
Strategy
Rather than chasing broad, competitive terms, we targeted specific problems the product solves and built a clean technical base that Google could crawl and trust from day one.
Work completed
- Set up Search Console, sitemaps and a clean URL structure at launch
- Published problem-focused articles for specific use cases
- Created clear product and solution pages with structured data
- Added comparison and alternatives content for buying-stage searches
- Earned early mentions from relevant industry sources
Key results
Google Search Console, 3 months, July–October 2025. Peak day shown: 26 clicks from 2,290 impressions (19 October).
What the results mean
Impressions grew to around 2.5K per day by mid-October, and the 9.1 average position shows pages reaching the edge of page one. For a new domain, that steady trajectory is the foundation for future click growth.
Key takeaway: New domains grow fastest by owning narrow, specific problems before competing for broad terms.
Education and Training Provider: Daily Clicks Tripled in Under a Week
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
Course pages ranked, but their listings looked outdated in search results, with old intake dates and vague course descriptions. Searchers comparing providers skipped past them.
Strategy
We refreshed the pages people were already finding: current intake information, clearer outcomes and titles that matched how prospective students search.
Work completed
- Updated course pages with current intakes, duration and delivery mode
- Rewrote titles and descriptions around course outcomes
- Added FAQs covering fees, entry requirements and study load
- Improved internal links between related courses
- Requested recrawling of refreshed pages
Key results
Google Search Console, 7 days, 13–19 October 2025. Peak day: 1,052 clicks from 9,033 impressions (18 October).
What the results mean
Clicks rose faster than impressions across the week, lifting CTR to 9.4%. That shows the refreshed listings were winning more of the searches the pages already appeared for.
Key takeaway: Refreshing pages that already rank can deliver faster gains than creating new ones.
Online Publisher: 70.7K Clicks From Bing in 30 Days
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
Almost all of the publisher’s search traffic depended on Google, leaving it exposed to algorithm updates. Bing, which also feeds Microsoft Copilot and other search experiences, was barely contributing.
Strategy
We treated Bing as its own channel: making sure new content was discovered instantly, and that Bing’s ranking signals, such as clear titles and fresh content, were consistently met.
Work completed
- Verified the site in Bing Webmaster Tools and submitted sitemaps
- Implemented IndexNow so new and updated articles were submitted instantly
- Fixed crawl errors reported specifically by Bing
- Improved title and description clarity across article templates
- Monitored Bing performance separately from Google
Key results
Bing Webmaster Tools, 30 days, September–October 2025 (average position not shown in this report).
What the results mean
Bing clicks climbed from near zero in late September to several thousand a day by mid-October, with a 15.88% CTR. That created a meaningful second search channel that reduces reliance on Google alone.
Key takeaway: Bing is often an untapped channel, and IndexNow makes fresh content visible there quickly.
Spanish-Language Content Website: 39K Active Users, Up 560%
Screenshot evidence

The challenge
The site targeted Spanish-speaking readers across several countries, but content was written for one market and missed regional vocabulary and search habits, limiting reach across Latin America and Spain.
Strategy
We planned content around how readers in different Spanish-speaking countries search, and made the site’s language and regional targeting clear to search engines.
Work completed
- Researched regional search terms for Spain and Latin America
- Published content addressing country-specific questions
- Configured language and regional signals correctly
- Improved internal linking between related Spanish-language articles
- Tracked engagement by country in GA4
Key results
Google Analytics 4, last 30 days to October 2025, compared with the previous period. Top real-time countries: Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ecuador.
What the results mean
Active users, sessions and new users all grew more than 560% against the previous period, and real-time visitors spanned Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica and Ecuador. That shows growth across several markets, not just one.
Key takeaway: Multilingual SEO works when content reflects regional language, not just translation.
